Professional Growth/Education: B.A. degree in Elementary Education from Dordt College. Additional graduate classes from various institutions.
My favorite Bible verses: Isaiah 40:31 “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Jeremiah 29:11 “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’.”
Why I’m excited to be at DMCS:
I get excited about the opportunities to teach a variety of subjects, as well as to share my faith with my students and to challenge them to grow in theirs. It is exciting to see them begin to understand the material being taught. It is even more exciting when they grow in their understanding that God loves and cares for each of them personally; that He is in control of all areas of our lives and of our world. Another thing that excites me about DeMotte Christian is the sense of community that exists here. There is a sense of caring for each other. It is a community of believers that has become an extension of my family.
