Why does DeMotte Christian School need to renovate their all-purpose room?
Built in 1972, the gym is now 38 years old and over time there have been many sporting events, band and choir concerts, musicals and Christmas programs, banquets, chicken dinners, graduations and many special events. All these activities have left the gym looking 'tired'. Since the all-purpose room is next on the list of painting and repair projects, the Building and Grounds committee decided that now would be a good time to make preparations for renovation.
What renovations will be done?
- New padded, rubber floor
- New plastic, motorized bleachers with hand rails and wheelchair access
- New paint on walls and ceiling
- New wood on front of stage
- New flourescent lighting
- New backboards for main court

GOOD NEWS!
The School Board had said that we needed 75% of the project raised in gifts and pledges by April to begin the project this summer. That amount was approximately $110,000. The total raised is now $120,000! So, we will start the project the beginning of June, hoping to complete it by summer's end! We praise God for His faithfulness, and thank all who have been able to help with this project.
